Dropit partners with McArthurGlen Cheshire Oaks on Handsfree Shopping Service

On 10th September 2020, Dropit launched it's partnership with the UK’s largest designer outlet.



Dropit is delighted to have partnered with McArthurGlen to launch digital handsfree shopping at the renowned Cheshire Oaks DesignerOutlet. Dropit’s app-based service delivers maximum convenience and increased consumer enjoyment from every visit while also providing a safe and secure shopping experience with minimal contact.

 

From 10 September, guests can use the ‘Dropit Handsfree Shopping’ service across Cheshire Oaks to securely ‘drop as they shop’, giving guest’s greater flexibility in how they spend their day and journey choices. Dropit will collect guest’s bags from more than 100 partner stores within CheshireOaks including Polo Ralph Lauren, Belstaff and GAP. All stores at Cheshire Oaks will accept bags for Dropit, with a Dropit ambassador being notified of when a bag has been dropped and then collecting and collating on behalf of the shopper. Guests can choose to have bags delivered to a preferred location at a time convenient to them, with delivery to homes, hotels and workplaces nationwide, plus same day delivery options to addresses within The Wirral, Chester CityCentre and Runcorn areas.

 

Should guests have driven toCheshire Oaks, they can also drop purchases at partner stores for collection at the end of the day, allowing a bag free retail experience for all. CheshireOaks is the first location worldwide to offer this new ‘collect-on-site’ feature from Dropit.

Insights captured by Dropit’s data analysts report that consumer’s feel safer and more comfortable visiting stores and enjoying dining and leisure facilities when they no longer have the hassle of carrying bags. In a post-COVID world, the need for safe, clean and reliable retail experiences has never been greater. Using Dropit means not only can shoppers avoid public transport and choose to walk, cycle or drive, but they no longer need to be weighed down by bags or worry about store to store bag contamination. As a result, Dropit are finding that shoppers using the Dropit app tend to shop for longer and spend 4.5 times more per customer.
